January 5, 2021--Forgiving the Past
Most of our wounds and traumas require self-forgiveness,
as well as the forgiveness of others.
You can’t be happy right now if you are always
dragging the past around like a sack of bones.
You have to lay your burden down
to be fully alive and present in your life.
Whatever the wound, you must come to peace with it,
for no other reason than it happened.
You cannot change what happened in the past.
You must accept it.
When you accept and forgive, you create the possibility
that you can heal and move on.
